Agricultural produce is the primary export of the country. Non-GMO produce is the most common type grown by farmers, which has a desirable demand internationally. Beker exports organic oilseeds (sesame, soybeans) to international markets in Turkey, UAE, India and China. Unlike the oilseeds which are mainly exported to the east, our Ethiopian coffee exports target western markets such as Germany, the UK and USA.
